Oh Look, It’s Deviantart!

So. Version 6? HMMM.

1. The front page is radically different, the bar notifying about new deviations/messages is at the very top of the screen–however, it now persists where you go, which is a plus, should you happen to be engrossed in some gallery or the other and want to be able to keep on top of new submissions by the artists you’re watching.

2. However, the front page is now entirely taken up by recent submissions–the daily deviations, which are supposed to be honored pieces of art, are now pushed so low that they’re off screen, you have scroll down to see them. This seems counterproductive to the point of having DDs and having DDs on the front page in the first place.

3. I like that even non-subscribed viewers like me now have the ability to see little previews of new art and journals. I guess they’re trying to move some subscriber-only features to non-subscribers as well? I approve.

4. Gallery surfing seems to be pretty much the same.

And that’s about all I have to say.
